A bird in one hand...

Is better than two in a bush. The number of times people ask the question "What would you rather have, £1 million or a 50% chance to get £10 million?" is quite high and I'm quit surprised at the number of people who would take the risk.

I know that a number of people like to take risks, personally I love it. It makes life exciting, but when it comes to risking £1 million pounds I don't see what's the point? I always say "better safe then sorry"

And the thing is about this is that if you reduce or increase the rewards then people are more or less likely to take a certain risk. I know I wouldn't but the majority of people would take the risk if you gamble with such high numbers but if you look at gambling in a real perspective the vast majority of people end up ruining their lives and few make a lot of money from it, wether it be football betting or casinos.

And gambling doesn't always have to be about money or assets but for example if you have plans to meet two different people at the same time. I guess what im saying is that taking risks isn't wrong and it's a lot of fun but be careful with what you risk. I know I'd be debated if I lost £1 million because I was too greedy.
