Jealousy is a silent killer, it can kill the strongest friendships in mere minutes, it's basically a desire to want something that isn't yours. If you see someone with someone else and you see how happy they are, no matter how happy for them you feel there is a part of you that wishes that they didn't have it or that you had it instead. For some people they feeling is small they feel the envy but don't react to it and just let it be. For others it causes them to do things that they wouldn't normally do. I know personally I feel very jealous very often and I often envy quite a lot but I would never do anything to try and take something from someone because no matter how bad the jealously feels I know that the feeling to hurt a friend would be a lot worse.
Everybody has opposite feelings to anything, although one thing may make you feel very jealous at the same time it makes you pleased that someone is happy. Although you feel bad for yourself and you wish it was yours, you also feeling good for whoever it is that your jealous of. Everytime you feel jealous of something it's like a battle between your jealousy and your good will. I know personally that jealousy can be a nightmare and that you can lose sleep over it, it makes you want to do things you don't want to, but the only way to stop it is to stop and say to yourself, "If my friend's happy then I'm happy" because if you don't accept the happiness of your friends and you will continue to feel jealous and it will cause your own upset and disruptions in your friendships. So all I'm basically saying is next time you feel jealous about something just stop and think, "Why am I so jealous?" because the odds are you're probably not, and if you are leave a comment and I'll try my best to help you.
