But wether it's going to warm up your heart or burn down your house is unknown" I think this is a pretty awesome analogy for describing love, it's very unpredictable and requires constant attention but is very rewarding. But what I'm thinking about today is that if love is a fire then what's the spark?
Lust. Physical attraction, whatever you want to call it. As soon as you lay eyes on someone that you think is attractive then bam that's your spark and the pyres of love have been lit. But if you've ever started your own fire then you'll know that it doesn't go from spark to campfire instantly.
Well this exactly the same as in real life, once you're attracted to someone you go up to them flirt a bit etc. This is just like caring for your spark as it grows. Until you get your fire to a certain point it's not going to give you any warmth or whatever, once you get to that stage you just need to maintain it. Just like a relationship.
I was going to write a bit more about the "spark" of the fire but it's quite confusing to really understand it. The odds are there will be a load of sparks in your life but the majority of them won't grow to campfires, and if you don't care for a spark then it dies and the attraction is gone.
